The Seven Chairs Narrative

For this assignment we had to pick out a piece of artwork and write a short narrative on it. I chose to write in third person about a creepy group of people. I found the picture to be really creepy, so I had to go in that direction with the story. Enjoy.
The nun's issues had started many a month ago. She had started getting antsy and jumpy when she had to sit still. Many times she looked jittery and like she was always on the edge. She'd become easily upset, often times evenyelling at some of her fellow nuns. The priests had tried to find out if anything was going on - whether she had lost a loved one or had some sort of disturbing experience - but even after months and months of prodding, they found nothing. It was almost as if one night she had fallen asleep as one person, with all her characteristics and personality, and woken up as someone else completely. A zombie almost.

The chair in the chapel had gone through a dark histoy. It, along with 6 other, had one belonged to the king of France. It had been one of the chairs to his dining room table set. After her and 6 diplomats had been brutally murdered by Italian mobsters, the chairs had been sent away; two went to Italy with the gansgters, two ended up in the queen's other house. The fifth on ended up in France, in the church of the nun. The last two were never seen thereafter.

It was said that the chair had been haunted by the king's ghost. The nun had sat in it every day, for 23 years, during mass. But it had never caused any issues. Until now.
